ETI’s methodology
ETI’s methodology can be summarised with the following key concepts. Our training is outcome-led, in that we design our programmes and methods of implementation to meet the work-specific needs of the trainees. Our approach is very practical and hands-on in that trainees use the language all the time and opportunities for practice in the classroom are maximised. Our classes are highly motivating by being both interesting and relevant to the trainees’ work needs.
Our trainers develop clear learning targets for each trainee and these become milestones for that trainee to work towards. Our programmes are flexible to allow us to respond to both changing learning needs and complex shift and roster patterns.
Our commitment to individualisation of learning is one of the basic tenets of our approach. Within the course design and classroom setting, priority will be given to a clear focus on the needs of each learner through the development of individualised schemes of work.
Our courses encourage integration. In the company setting, the English language teaching should be viewed as part of the overall training operation, the English allowing access to the other elements of this programme such as HSE, IT etc. All of our training courses are available partially or in some cases totally online on a group or individual basis.
Delivery of these courses can be facilitated by ETI’s extensive network of commercial and professional contacts in the international training world.
